At School Premises

We, at the Buddha Meditation Center of Rockville, MD, are thrilled to offer our specialized mindfulness programs for schools and educational institutions in your area. These programs are designed to benefit students who seek to gain better control over their minds and emotions through mindfulness and meditation practices. Our mindfulness programs are conducted by resident monks from the Theravada Buddhist tradition, who are highly trained and experienced in ancient Buddhist meditation techniques. In these sessions, students will learn meditation techniques, as well as valuable skills such as cultivating loving kindness, patience, and appreciative joy. Mindfulness has been proven to enhance overall well-being, reduce stress, and improve concentration, making it especially valuable for students. Participants have the flexibility to choose their seating preferences, whether on chairs, mats, or cushions, to ensure their comfort during meditation sessions. We are committed to spreading mindfulness and meditation as acts of compassion and offer these programs to schools free of charge. Our aim is to contribute positively to the educational experience of students. At our Center

To support the continuation of these valuable programs, we kindly suggest a donation of $5 for each student participating in our center’s meditation programs. Please note that we can accommodate a maximum of 50 participants. We kindly request that teachers guide their students to maintain silence during their visit to the center. Your cooperation in this regard is greatly appreciated.

Mindfulness School

At the Mindfulness School of Buddha Meditation Center, we offer a nurturing environment for children aged 6 to 16 to learn mindfulness and essential qualities like gratitude, meditation, and patience. Our program, guided by experienced Buddhist monks, takes place every 2nd and 4th Saturday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and includes engaging activities, snacks, and a warm welcome to kids of all backgrounds.
